The project works through participatory Farmer Research Networks, on-farm experimentation, agroecological demonstrations, tree integration, soil fertility improvement, farmer training, participatory research, and dissemination of climate-resilient technologies.

  1. Promote sustainable food security among smallholder farmers.
  2. Improve livelihoods in dryland cereal-legume farming systems.
  3. Strengthen resilient ecosystems among smallholder farmers in Eastern Uganda.

Target population

Smallholder cereal farmers organised in Farmer Research Networks across Amuria, Ngora, and Pallisa. The project directly reached 650 households.

Teso sub-region: Amuria, Ngora, and Pallisa districts

Participatory Farmer Research Networks, on-farm experimentation, agroecological demonstrations, tree integration, soil fertility improvement, farmer training, participatory research, and climate-resilient technology dissemination.
