Goal

The programme works in Karamoja Cluster 3 through farmer and farmer organisation capacity building, Community Based Trainers, subsidy schemes, post-harvest handling, business development, collective marketing, VSLA strengthening, quality assurance, and institutional strengthening.

Objectives
  1. Increase demand and supply of agricultural services.
  2. Improve quality of targeted crops, post-harvest management, and food safety.
  3. Increase pro-smallholder marketing.
  4. Strengthen national and local institutions supporting smallholder agriculture.
  5. Increase employment opportunities for youth and women.
Project facts
Target population

Smallholder farming households, farmer groups, farmer organisations, youth, women, Community Based Trainers, agribusinesses, and MSMEs. Overall target: 20,815 smallholder farmers, with emphasis on youth and women.

Target districts

Karamoja Cluster 3: Abim, Karenga, Kotido, and Kaabong districts

Farmer and farmer organisation capacity building, Community Based Trainers, Farmer Organisations, subsidy schemes, post-harvest handling, business development, collective marketing, VSLA strengthening, quality assurance, and institutional strengthening.
