VEDCO in tree management for climate change mitigation and adaptation pilot venture . Oct/28/2011
VEDCO in partnership with the Department of International Development UK (DFID) have launched a pilot project to improve the Local adaptive capacity of Pameri farmers through tree growing & management. According to the project coordinator Egesa Peter, the project is targeting 250 households organized in 10 groups, 65% women in Pameri parish Metu Sub-County, Moyo district. Pine, Mahogany, Teak, Calliandra and Musizi are the focus tree species in the region.
