VEDCO FARMERS JOIN THE REST OF THE WORLD FOR THE WORLD FOOD PRIZE Oct/17th/2011

VEDCO supported farmers & staff together with other participants

The world food prize 2011 shall remain memorable in the entire VEDCO history, thanks to the Soyfoods Council and Soy bean Association of Iowa States.
It is this years’ World Food Day that two farmers working with VEDCO in Northern Uganda have been part of the celebrations right through the opening ceremony of Inaugurating the World Food Price centre in Des Moines, the Borlaug Dialogues and the actual ceremony of handing over the Nobel Laureate prize for 2011 to President Kufuor  former president of Ghana and President Lula da Silva former president of Brazil for illustrating how top-level leadership and sustained commitment can dramatically reduce hunger.
Also in attendance were two VEDCO Management Team members and six VEDCO members of the Board courtesy of Iowa State University and VEDCO.
